I am very pleased with the participation in summer trainings this year.
So far we have confirmed billets for Recruit Training at RTC Great Lakes for Cadets Christy, Dobbs, Halloran, Holtz, Leming, Montgomery, Murphy, Richey, Sheline, Smith, Swan, Tucker and Whitlow. We are awaiting orders for one more for RTIL.
Cadet Russell is attending RT at Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania.
Cadet Nemeth is confirmed for LO at Fort Custer.

We will provide Color Guard and escort of survivors again this year for the USS Indianapolis Reunion. Downtown at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on Sunday 27JUL14. Exact reporting time will be communicated when we are advised. All cadets are encouraged to attend.

USS Indianapolis Ship 35 will be hosting a food drive at the Commissary at Fort Harrison again this year and we need cadets to help out for the day. This will count towards community service hours. You may work all or part of the day. Exact hours will be posted when communicated to us.

ALL: Some new items have been added to the calendar for the next few months! Holidays were added and some items that we know are coming up such as March PRT and a planned meeting for parents of boot camp candidates.

POM has been sent out for November drill. Saturday is K9 demo, Sunday is Firefighting and HazMat Level 1 with practicals. Color Guard is needed at NOSC both Saturday and Sunday.
